storyboard VERSE THREE
do two trees convey a sense of non-loneliness? a spurt of green amidst red, the sign that the fire is dying out, at least for awhile???
storyboard VERSE ONE
.
i REALLY like your drawings of the fire coming into the house, i think there's a better way to arrange this scene, and integrate that idea (my last image is pretty weak on that front... i imagined red seeping in through the cracks like yours.
storyboard-- big picture
PART ONE: the storyboard overview.
NOTE: this is a rough rough draft. with no color... i wanted to get something out into the world so we can tweak it & etc...

hmmmm
in response--
a choice to be made here-- shadowed or frontlit? (compare fahey's video to any of ours that are cloth/etc)
kathy used fancy light gels to film hers... the puppets are black/white because you just see the sillouhette-- a form of shadowpuppetry ... if we do a front lit crankie, all the color goes onto the paints/drawings...and allows for drawing/painting as opposed to sillouhette cutting. which were you envisioning? i am envisioning front lit, but i am flexible!
i am not super into the angularity here, and feel like the color palate is somewhat unfocused, here... but there are great inspiring mments-- like the sea, especially

katherine fahey's
totally inspired by her coloring! it could be really cool to begin & end the video in blue, cool tones and change it to red/yellow/orange for dream. i assume we could use stagelight screen thingies for this?
ellen's is super impressive too but it definitely made clear to me that i'm more into the darkness/shadow puppets/light changing route. very into ink and clear lines with color placed within the drawings. (as opposed to coming from a place of blocks of color).
